We believe that learning never ends.With The Life Institute we provide courses for our local community as well as new comers and international students. Any of our students has big potancial contribution to Canada society.

 

 

 

New Comer Orientation

The Jacob House provides new immigrants with a practical orientatiton to life in Canada. Our counsellors will help new comers to understand their rights and responsibilities as a new residents of Canada and learn about the city, fill out important forms, launch a job searh and find affordable housing.

Social and Recreational Activities

Providing regular social and recreational opputunities, Jacob House encourages the community to share food and cultural traditions together.

 

Worship Services

Worship is a natural expression of the love one has for another. We meet to worship as an expression of our love for the Lord our God. “ We love because He first loved us ”. All our services are open to the public, and they are most welcome to join us. Large print hymn, song books and a sound system available.We also use projector (large prints ) words and pictures to enable our worship. To accompany the various topics we are looking at, month by month, some devotional notes are being made available for free.

Torah Studies

Designed and developed by Jacob Synagogue, the Torah Studies program brings you to understand the eternal life and makes your life more meaningful. Torah Study Programme is completed in one year. You will be able to see how to arrange your life during this programme.

And now; O Israel, give heed to the laws and rules that I am instructing you to observe, so that you may live to enter and occupy the land that the Lord, the God of your fathers, is giving you. You shall not add anything to what I command you or take anything away from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I enjoin upon you (Deuteronomy 4: 1-2).

But if you search there for the Lord your God, you will find him, if only you seek Him with all your heart and soul when you are in distress because all these things have befallen you and, in the and, return to the Lord your God and obey Him. For the Lord your God is a compassionate God: He will not fail you nor will He let you perish; He will not forget the covenant which He made on oath with your fathers (Deuteronomy 4: 29-31).
